So I walked into my classroom at the very beginning of July and it was very overwhelming. There was nothing there. No art supplies, no sink, not even tables- I had desks since it was a Geography room! I thought "it's okay....you feel this way at the beginning of EVERY year...things will get done." It was pretty tough. I never started a school year without a decorated room so I really pushed to make this look like an art room. Here are some photos just to show you what I was talking about....
Luckily, the other art teacher Mr. Qualls gave me a big stack of posters he had in his classroom he was not using. When in doubt, always get you some art posters to make your room look better. I was not able to do nearly as much as I would have wanted (I pride myself on having a very pretty classroom!) but at least it turned out much better than it originally was.

I have come to the conclusion that this classroom will take me a little longer than I would have liked to get it closer to "my liking" but at least we can tell it's an art room now.
I'm one blessed woman. :)
